Midwifery Practice Educator, Sara Stride said: "We are inundated with requests for work experience placements in maternity, which we are not able to provide due to the sensitive nature of our work. 'A Day with Midwives' will provide the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the role of the midwife and the opportunity to meet some of the midwives who are keen to share their experiences."

There is a £50 charge for the day to cover costs and lunch will be provided. To find out more please contact Sara Stride at sara.stride@ydh.nhs.uk or to book a place email Elaine Cox in the academy at Elaine.cox@ydh.nhs.uk. The closing date for bookings is 1st March 2013.
