Sherborne man's half marathon challenge runs in the family
WHEN Luke Puplett takes part in the Reading half marathon next month he will be following in the footsteps of his mother Lesley who has completed three London marathons.
Luke, who grew up in Sherborne, explains: “My mum’s a keen runner and has done a few marathons over the years and I’ve always been envious of her achievements.

“Although I’m quite sporty, it’s something I haven’t attempted before - the hard work and endless hours of training has always put me off.”
BVM Advertising executive Luke, 24, was spurred into taking up the marathon challenge however following the diagnosis of his grandmother with a brain tumour. “I'm one of these people who gets hugely frustrated when I can't fix something.

Luke has been training hard, despite suffering a knee injury in recent weeks, in a bid to complete the 13.1 miles and raise his target of £2,000. The Reading half marathon takes place on 17th March.
